Lapierre’s Passport is both a travel bike and a holiday bike, and will be your ideal companion if you are fond of sports and of travels. Based on a patented folding system, Lapierre’s Passport is a lightweight and capable folding mountain bike that can travel with you in its special bag.
You will find it easy to travel thanks to its compact and easy to carry bag, which complies with airline regulations for a hassle-free check in. The bag and the bike together only weigh 16.5kg. You will also find it easy to ride, for it is a soft-tail mountain bike that weighs less than 12kg and that can be easily assembled in minutes, without any tools.

After 3 years of R&D, Lapierre has created a "real" folding mountain bike that fits in a travel bag specially designed for this project by French textile leader Lafuma.
COMPLIES WITH AIRLINE TRAVEL REGULATIONS
When folded and packed, the bike is easy to manuever and complies with airline travel regulations, making for an easy check-in when travelling by plane. The overall weight of 16,5kg (bike & bag) also means no extra weight fees.
The intuitive assembly steps are easy to follow and allow the user to build the bike in 5 minutes, without any tools.

Yes, the Passport bike was conceived with standard elements and has common dimensions, so that it is easy to replace parts if needed. Even specific components such as the Lapierre stem can be replaced by standard components
