DH World Cup #4 Lenzerheide - Bruni & Vergier, solid pair!

For the 4th round of the World Cup, the Team Lapierre Gravity Republic was heading off to Lenzerheide, Switzerland. A brand new track for our riders: short, committed, but also dusty and very tricky!

Loic Bruni

Winner of the qualifications, 2nd in final... Another big week-end for Loic Bruni!

For Loic Bruni, World Cups week-ends are quite similar… For the 3rd time this season (on 4 rounds), he set the fastest time in qualifications.

When he started as last rider in final, everyone was hoping 1st World Cup victory for Loic. With an impressive run, full of commitment an speed, he was close to the best times at split 1 and split 2. Despite a slide in the penultimate turn, he took the 2nd place behind Greg Minaar. The South African rider had a perfect run and is now holder of the record of World Cup victories (18 victories). We all hoped for the win for Loic, but we cannot be disappointed with a 2nd place! He’s still 2nd at the general classification.

Loris Vergier

Loris Vergier, full gas

Loris Vergier, who got his first Elite top20 in Leogang, wanted to confirm his progression in the hierarchy. It's done! With a 31st place in the qualifications, he made a strong run in final and signed his best result of the season by taking 13th place! Now close to the top10 ... Promising.

Finn Iles

Finn Iles, who was there as race opener, also gave it all on that new track. Not even Junior, his time as race opener would have placed him virtually at the 5th place in the Juniors. A great experience which will serve him for sure in the future.

Next round: Mount St Anne in Canada, classic round of the World Cup, on the 1st August.
