8th and final round of the Enduro World Series season, Finale Ligure is now a classic in the MTB Enduro season. There was no big suspense for the final overall classification, but the fight for the podium promised to be great, and it was!
Enduro World Series has rarely been as tight as yesterday. Nico Vouilloz, as his 2015 season, was on top form during the whole week-end.
With the fastest time on the longest stage on Sunday, he was in the game for the 1st place until the last moment. Indeed, after two days of racing and over 35 minutes of stages, the top four is held in just two seconds ... It’s finally the Australian rider Jared Graves who claimed victory, before a trio of French riders: Fabien Barel, who was ending his Enduro career yesterday. Nico Vouilloz took the third step of the podium and Jerome Clementz the 4th place.
In the overall standings, places were also tight! After Jerome Clementz in 2013 and Jared Graves in 2014, Richie Rude wins the 2015 Enduro World Series. Nico Vouilloz, after a solid season, finished at a superb 5th place!
In the U21 category, Adrien Dailly had less pressure. In fact, his first place in the U21 overall standings was already assured before the race! However, he still proved he deserved his No.1 status. Best time on 3 out of 5 stages this weekend, he’s back from Italy with another victory! He concluded his first season under Lapierre’s colors in the best possible way.
