May 1910. Two months before the start of the 8thedition of the Tour de France, Alphonse Steines drove his car to the foot of the Col du Tourmalet in the Pyrenees.
He was a journalist at L'Auto and was responsible for planning the route for the Tour de France. For quite some time, he’d had just one idea in mind: he wanted to find out if it was possible for the riders in the next edition to enter the Pyrenees for the first time. No one had ever dared to try this before.

The World Championships took place this weekend on the roads of Florence, Italy. Among the favorites, there were Philippe Gilbert, the defending champion, Peter Sagan, Fabian Cancellara, Vincenzo Nibali and the Spanish riders.
The final round of DH World Cup 2013 was in Leogang in Austria this weekend. The LP Gravity Republic Team was eager to finish on a high, after already having an amazing season.

The riders of the FDJ team are having an amazing season. This year sees a record number of victories:29! (The previous record was 28 in 2011), with both UCI World Tour victories (Bouhanni at Paris-Nice, Démare at the Ride London Classic) and legendary victories, such as Kenny Elissonde at the top of the Angliru on Saturday’s Vuelta stage.
With the 5th round of the World Cup, this weekend the resort of Halfjell looked like a giant rehearsal for the 2014 World Championships.
