May 1910. Two months before the start of the 8thedition of the Tour de France, Alphonse Steines drove his car to the foot of the Col du Tourmalet in the Pyrenees.
He was a journalist at L'Auto and was responsible for planning the route for the Tour de France. For quite some time, he’d had just one idea in mind: he wanted to find out if it was possible for the riders in the next edition to enter the Pyrenees for the first time. No one had ever dared to try this before.
For the 4th round of the World Cup, the Team Lapierre Gravity Republic was heading off to Lenzerheide, Switzerland. A brand new track for our riders: short, committed, but also dusty and very tricky!

No time to rest for our riders from Team Lapierre Gravity Republic, one week after Fort William, they were in Leogang, Austria for the 3rd round of the DH World Cup.

The legendary Lapierre Xelius has been the preferred race machine of FDJ riders for many years now.
The 2nd round of the Enduro World Series took place in County Wicklow in Ireland, in front of a crazy audience. The riders were expected to ride 47 km in a day without lifts with a total of about 1760m of denivelation and 7 timed specials similar to DH.
